Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a chemical exfoliation of the skin. These types of peels range from superficial to deep in the treatment they provide. We offer a range of peel products from Glymed, Image, MyBody, and Skinceuticals. Working with an on-site cosmetic surgeon allows us to offer medical grade treatments in our office. We offer all types of chemical peels, including the following:
- Glycolic peel
- Lactic peel
- Citric peelÂ
- Salicylic peel
- Jessner peel
- TCA peel
All chemical peels are used to decrease fine wrinkles, improve hydration of the skin, decrease hyperpigmentation, and decrease oil production. The depth of treatment determines the level of peeling that the patient will experience after the peel. Our Aesthetician will determine the depth of treatment required to treat your specific skin concerns.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation of the skin which uses a spray of highly controlled crystals to loosen and remove the surface layers of dead skin cells. This improves circulation and encourages the formation and growth of new skin. This is a non-invasive treatment with no chemicals and is a form of skin resurfacing.
Treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks for maintenance and healthy cellular turnover.
Microdermabrasion is beneficial for treating the following:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Acne prone skin
- Sun damage
- Superficial age spots
- Hyperpigmentation
- Skin texture
Dermasound Facial
The dermasound facial is an exfoliation of the skin with little to no irritation. This treatment uses ultrasonic technology to provide a more gentle skin resurfacing treatment. This is a good alternative for patients with sensitive skin or inflammatory conditions such as rosacea.Â
The ultrasonic technology allows antioxidants and other skin repairing products to penetrate deeper into the skin tissues. By accessing the collagen and elastin in the deeper dermis, rejuvinating products can have more effect to tighten and improve the skin at a cellular level.
Dermasound treats skin damage, wrinkles, and texture issues and is especially effective in treating those who are sensitive to aggressive treatments as well as patients with rosacea.
